Somewhere after the whole Y2K scare, I was offered the chance to learn the trade by an experienced artist and tattooer I had been getting a sleeve done by. I'm not sure what spurred him to ask, whether it was the previous relationship we'd had designing ads in the local newspaper for his shop or the streams of artwork I brought in to direct him on the sleeve I had been planning.
It was a moment I will never regret, a hesitant agreement to become his apprentice.
I've since struggled and succeeded on many levels during many years learning what it is to exist in this industry amongst so many talented people. Many of which have aided me with little tips and tricks, technical and artistic, machine knowledge and more.
I've realized the depths of my commitment to this art form, to this trade, as well as the years ahead of me shaping, sculpting and attempting to master my skills in tattoo.
Tattooing is not for the faint of heart. My portfolio offers a glimpse into the process I've taken to get to this point in my career as a tattooer. Enjoy, live well.
